Jungkook of the BTS group showcased his prowess by dominating the Spotify chart with all the songs from 'GOLDEN.'
The title track, 'Standing Next to You,' from Jungkook's solo album 'GOLDEN,' secured the second spot with 6,472,019 streams in Spotify's latest 'Daily Top Song Global' announcement, as of November 3rd. His solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' reclaimed the top position, while '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)' bounced back to the 7th place. Additionally, other tracks like 'Hate You' (#16), 'Yes or No' (#18), 'Please Don’t Change (feat. DJ Snake)' (#23), 'Closer to You (feat. Major Lazer)' (#24), 'Somebody' (#27), 'Shot Glass of Tears' (#28), and 'Too Sad to Dance' (#29) from the 'GOLDEN' album simultaneously entered the 'Daily Top Song Global' chart.
Notably, the songs featured in 'GOLDEN' were collectively streamed 39,653,740 times on the release day (the 3rd), setting a new record for the highest streaming numbers for a K-pop solo artist's album on the date of chart entry. The previous record for the most streamed K-pop group album on the chart entry date was held by BTS' anthology album 'Proof' (with over 47,565,917 views) released last year. Jungkook has now achieved the top record not only as part of a team but also as a solo artist, establishing a remarkable global presence in the music industry.
'GOLDEN' also secured the top spot on Japan's Oricon 'Daily Album Ranking,' selling 205,961 copies. In the 'Daily Digital Single Ranking,' Jungkook's 'golden run' continues with all eight new songs from the album consistently ranking in the 'Top 15,' including 'Standing Next to You,' which claimed the top position.
Furthermore, 'GOLDEN,' released at 1 PM on the 3rd, surpassed 2 million copies sold within 5 hours on Hanteo Chart, a domestic album sales statistics site, earning the title of a 'double million seller.' Jungkook, as a K-pop solo artist, set a new record for the highest sales on the day of release alone, marking an impressive achievement in the first week after release."
